Snow Soldier

In between some freelance stuff that I cannot post, I had been thinking on a design for a snow soldier of sorts. I wanted a mountaineer-esque light soldier, snow suit built around heating tech, equipment that has built in (also retractable) crampons and climbing picks, eyeless/visor-less mask, and a railgun. So here is the design I whipped up with the boots modelled. I will work on him as paid/unpaid work comes and goes. Concept with basic colour palette and the WIPs.

Aerial Arms

For the same fellows previously stated, some simple arms added to these flying units. One is obviously a helicopter and the other a tactical RC Plane. Screen grabbing like it's going out of style.

Robber Masks

Some more screen grabs of robber mask iterations for some fellows for an undisclosed project.

DMC Textured

Here is the DMC infiltrator I had finished modeling some time ago. The HDRI lighting really doesn't do him much justice but then again lighting was something I haven't indulged enough time into. Shame on me. But here it is, futuristic mercenary agent with flare of western art, tacky pin-ups and snakes. I eliminated the sword from the original design, even though done, never fit the character. Threw in the pin-up as the render angles didn't do her justice.

Ray Retopo and Surface Shaders

Well the time between posts bares nothing worth noting on production but speaks volumes on my promptness updating. Here is a couple screen grabs of Ray with retopo and the flat shader as per request. I may do an iteration of him one day with full blown texturing but as it stands now, he shall stay.

Stylized Character

A concept done by my friend Matt Williamson. Love the character's unique look and wanted to translate it into 3D with the critique of Matt in the process. Still need to clean up mesh on gun and retopo the High-Res character.

Updates

So there it is, a decent chunk of what had occupied my time the last 6 months in LA at Gnomon (thanks to anyone that shared some time with me down there) post graduation in Vancouver at the Art Institute. I might begin to post some of the helmet designs I do for this upcoming season, I might not. The suspense! I need to get going on some new portfolio pieces and show where I am at these days amid the side projects at hand. If allowed, some of those pieces will get posted here. Cheers.
