Updates

So there it is, a decent chunk of what had occupied my time the last 6 months in LA at Gnomon (thanks to anyone that shared some time with me down there) post graduation in Vancouver at the Art Institute. I might begin to post some of the helmet designs I do for this upcoming season, I might not. The suspense! I need to get going on some new portfolio pieces and show where I am at these days amid the side projects at hand. If allowed, some of those pieces will get posted here. Cheers.

Modern Post-Apocalyptic Game Character

Original idea right? Democracy ruled the voting in class. Regardless I had fun cranking this concept and character out. Got a lot better with fabric sculpting this quarter with the advice of Mark (Yeah I'll keep pumping his tires, he was a beauty.). I had some advice from a highly esteemed friend of mine on some of the texturing which I look to take in to account soon.

Robbers

The bulk of the robber was done by Dustin Blattner, I was asked to do some shirt variations of the robber without his jacket on, a couple simple ski mask designs, and a heavier vest design.

SWAT Characters

Here is a combined effort of 3. Mark hammered out the great looking SWAT uni's,  heads and half the game mesh, Steve Sompels for the vest packs, and I handled the vests, misc gear, the other portion of the game mesh, tweaks and baking.

SWAT Vests

Some vest designs based loosely on existing ideas. One Heavy design and another Standard. Probably could of guessed that. Regardless, beginning stages of some work for James Wearing via Mr. Dedecker.

Look Dev Final

Here is the chosen idea applied with projection texturing.

Look Dev

Some Look Dev on a model provided by Alex Alvarez for Character and Creature Texturing and Shading.

Infiltrator

A little concept and model/sculpt I created for my Character Creation for Games with Mayan Escalante. Had some fun and learned a lot in that class. It's ready for a diffuse and maybe a couple tweaks, look for that soon.

Zsphere Creature Sculpts

Part of my Creature Modeling and Sculpting Class at Gnomon, these two were probably the strongest all around that I did that first Quarter at Gnomon. Have to give a nod to Mark Dedecker for the experience I had at Gnomon, this was the first of 2 classes I had with him and I would like to think that my minimal Zbrush knowledge that I had coming in is now a strength of mine today.
